For most aspiring young actresses, that first glimpse of success comes in the form of some sort of low-budget horror flick where the only job requirement is the ability to scream a piercing scream. But not Colleen Foy.
For her feature film debut, she's starring opposite Daniel Day-Lewis and working under the tutelage of director Paul Thomas Anderson in There Will Be Blood.
While many still believe that it takes a hustler to make it in Hollywood, Foy is proving that a little good nature can go a long way.

Colleen Foy started acting in high school and majored in theatre at Marquette University in Milwaukee. In her senior year, she performed in her friend Garrett Zuercher's senior thesis, QUID PRO QUO. The play was unique in that it was performed completely in American Sign Language and voiced by offstage actors. The play was chosen by the American College Theatre Festival to be performed at the prestigious Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.
Colleen's first year out of college was spent touring the country as "Alice" in ALICE IN WONDERLAND with the National Theatre of the Deaf. Colleen was the only hearing member of NTD's Company in the 2004-2005 season. That year she taped several segments for the classic show SESAME STREET teaching the "Sign Language Word of the Day" to millions of children.
After living in hotels for a year, Colleen relocated to Los Angeles to start her TV and film career. She has filmed several national commercials and primetime TV appearances. In 2007 she made her feature film debut in the Academy Award winning film THERE WILL BE BLOOD, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and starring Daniel Day-Lewis.
